Forgiveness
"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."
Devotion
Forgiveness is the mark of a transformed heart. It is not natural—it is supernatural. It flows from the cross, where God forgave the unforgivable, pardoned the guilty, and reconciled His enemies. Because you have been forgiven an infinite debt, you must forgive those who owe you far less.
Yet forgiveness is hard. The offense is real. The wound is deep. Justice cries out. But hear this truth: unforgiveness is a prison where you are the inmate. Bitterness is a poison you drink hoping the other person will die. When you refuse to forgive, you do not punish them—you punish yourself.
Forgiveness does not mean the offense was acceptable. It means you release the offender to God's judgment and choose freedom over bondage. It means you extend the same grace you have received. Who do you need to forgive today? Release them. Let it go. Walk in the freedom of forgiveness.
Meditation Moment
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anyone you have not fully forgiven. Pray for them by name, releasing them from the debt they owe you. If you have offended someone, ask God to show you how to seek their forgiveness. Meditate on the forgiveness you have received in Christ. Thank God for His merciful pardon.
