Devotion
Our God is Jehovah Jireh—the Lord who provides. He fed Israel with manna in the wilderness, multiplied the widow's oil, and satisfied five thousand with a boy's lunch. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and all the silver and gold are His. Provision is not a problem for God.
Yet how quickly we doubt His provision! We worry about tomorrow's bread while eating today's portion. We hoard resources rather than trusting His supply. We make decisions based on fear rather than faith. Beloved, God has never failed to provide for His children, and He will not start with you.
Notice Paul's promise—God will supply every need according to His riches in glory. Not according to your bank account, not according to the economy, but according to His inexhaustible resources. He may not give you every want, but He will meet every need. Trust Him today, for He is faithful.
Meditation Moment
Bring your financial concerns before God with honesty. Ask Him to provide for specific needs you or your family face. Pray Matthew 6:25-34, releasing anxiety about provision. Thank God for past provisions you can remember. Ask Him to increase your faith to trust Him more fully. Consider how you can be His instrument of provision for someone else.
