Day 3 of 21

The Nation

Psalm 33:12

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD."

Devotion

The blessing or curse of a nation flows from its relationship with God. History testifies to this truth: nations that honor God flourish, while those that reject Him crumble under the weight of their own pride. Our land desperately needs the mercy of God, the righteousness of God, and the fear of God.

But before we cry out for national revival, we must examine our own hearts. The prophet Daniel confessed the sins of his nation as though they were his own. He did not point fingers—he fell on his face. He did not demand change—he modeled repentance. Oh, that the church would follow this pattern! Instead of cursing the darkness, we must shine as lights. Instead of condemning the culture, we must demonstrate the transforming power of the gospel.

Your nation needs you to be faithful more than it needs you to be political. It needs your prayers more than your protests. It needs your witness more than your votes. Be a citizen of heaven who brings the values of the kingdom to earth. Let your righteousness shine, your love overflow, and your gospel witness be uncompromising.

Meditation Moment

Pray 1 Timothy 2:1-4 for your nation's leaders by name. Ask God to grant them wisdom, to convict them of sin, and to draw them to salvation. Confess the sins of your nation as Daniel did. Pray for spiritual awakening to sweep across the land. Commit to being salt and light in your sphere of influence.
